Nepali Student Scholarship

This scholarship awards a maximum of $30,000 in tuition annually to one top student from Nepal. Scholarships apply to tuition only and are automatically renewed annually up to the completion of one degree, subject to the scholarship terms and conditions. The Nepali Student Scholarship is awarded to a student in a field of study that enables the student to return home and contribute to the reconstruction needs of Nepal. The award is intended to help educate future leaders who can make positive differences in their home country.
 

Eligibility

  • Applicants must be admissible or fully admitted to the University of Oregon. New students must apply for admission to the UO for Fall 2023 by January 15, 2023.
  • Applicants cannot be U.S. citizens, U.S. permanent residents, or eligible to receive U.S. federal financial assistance.
  • Applicants must demonstrate financial need and meet the minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA requirement.
     

How to Apply

Current UO Students:

  1. Log in to the UO Scholarship Dashboard and submit the General Application, ISSS Endowed Scholarships Application and the ICSP Scholarship Application.  
  2. All applications and Reference Letters must be submitted by February 17, 2023 by 4 p.m. (PST).

 
Incoming Freshmen and New Transfer, New Graduate and New Post Baccalaureate Applicants:

  1. You must apply for Admission to the University of Oregon before you can apply for scholarships.
  2. Watch your email for an invitation to enter the UO Scholarship Dashboard. This happens within a week of submitting your application for admissions.
  3. Log in to the UO Scholarship Dashboard and submit the General Application, ISSS Endowed Scholarships Application and the ICSP Scholarship Application.  You must apply for admission prior to this step
  4. All applications and Reference Letters must be submitted by February 17, 2023 by 4 p.m. (PST).
