According to U.S. law, international students are required to submit financial documents, in their admissions status portal, proving ability to pay for one year of study before the UO can send Form I-20 to the student. The I-20 is required to apply for an F-1 student visa. To meet this U.S. government requirement, most students submit a bank statement, certificate of deposit, scholarship award letter, or a combination of those three. The financial documents can be in any currency as long as it is equivalent to the amount below.
