Degree–seeking international students may be eligible for employment and practical training in the U.S., but with certain restrictions. ISSS provides guidance to students about their responsibilities and the benefits available to them in accordance with immigrations regulations.
Degree-seeking international students can explore the following work opportunities while they are in F-1 status:

- Curricular Practical Training (CPT)
- Optional Practical Training (OPT)
- 24-Month STEM OPT extension
Meet with an International Student Advisor
International Student Advisors are available by drop-in or appointment. Current students can schedule an appointment by calling the office of International Affairs at 541-346-3206, or come to drop-in advising: Mondays-Thursdays, 2-4 pm and Fridays, 10am – 12pm.
