Exchange & Visiting Students

There are three orientation components required for exchange students:

Step 1: Complete online orientation before you arrive to the U.S.

  • July & August: Online International Student Orientation

    All the things you need to know before you arrive to the U.S. You will be so prepared after completing this online international student orientation. Go to community.uoregon.edu and log in with your Duck ID, then click on International Student Orientation. For more information, contact International Student & Scholar Services at intl@uoregon.edu.

Step 2: Attend International Student Orientation

  • September 23-24: International Student Orientation

    All new international students, including freshman and transfers, are required to attend International Student Orientation on the Eugene campus.

Step 3: Complete Prevention Course and Get Explicit 101 

  • October: Prevention Course

    All new students, including domestic and international, are required to complete the online Prevention Course. The Online Prevention Course has four modules: Alcohol-Wise, Cannabis-Wise, Consent & Respect, and Other Drugs. For more information about the Online Prevention Course and how to fulfill this requirement, go to dos.uoregon.edu/prevention-course.

  • October: Get Explicit 101

    All new students, including domestic and international, are required to attend a Get Explicit 101 session in the fall. Get Explicit 101 is a training about respectful communication, healthy relationships, sexual assault, and being a responsible Duck.
