Getting Involved on Campus

International Student Groups/ASUO

There are many student groups at the UO, representing China, Japan, Hong Kong, Central & South America, the Caribbean, Africa, Vietnam, and more. There is also the International Student Association (ISA), which includes students from all around the world as well as American students. You can also get involved in student government and more through the Associated Students of the University of Oregon (ASUO). Get involved with one or more of these groups and help the UO become a truly international campus.

International Student Programs

International students can get involved in campus services that are designed specifically for new international students. Learn more about our programs and services.

International Coffee Hour

ISA hosts international coffee hour every Friday from 4-6 pm in the Mills International Center. Free coffee, tea and refreshments are served, and its packed every week. It is a great place to meet new people and make plans for the weekend.

The Meet

Meet new and old friends at “The Meet” sponsored by the Mills International Center. The Meet happens on Thursdays from 5-7 pm. Learn more at youtube.com/UOMILLS.

Leadership Opportunities

If you enjoy working with people and making new friends, there are many ways to get involved. You can volunteer at International Student Orientation to welcome new students to the UO. You can also run for office or a leadership position with a student group. Check out the Holden Leadership Center for other leadership opportunities. This is your campus, so make the most of your time here!
