Complete Pre-Registration Steps
Submit Intent to Register in admissions status portal
Complete three steps to receive an invitation to schedule an advising appointment. An advising appointment is required before you can register for fall term classes:
- Claim your Duck ID (pre-arrival checklist)
- Set up UO mail account on laptop and phone (pre-arrival checklist)
- Register for orientation in admissions status portal
Sign Insurance Compliance Form to remove registration block (pre-arrival checklist)
Submit proof of measles, mumps & rubella (MMR) vaccine to remove registration block (pre-arrival checklist)

Schedule Advising Appointment / Take Placement Tests
Respond to email from UO Academic Advising to schedule an advising appointment
- July 14 - deadline to schedule an advising appointment
Complete academic placement exams and advising module as instructed by advisor
Complete AEIS placement test for international students (check UO mail for details)
Complete any unfinished pre-registration steps

Register for Classes
Class registration for freshman via Duckweb opens July 5
- International undergraduate students must register a minimum of 12 credits, with at least 8 credits in-person or hybrid. Graduate students must register a minimum of 9 credits, with at least 6 credits in-person or hybrid.
